Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 19, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information TestGenius collects, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your data.

1. Information We Collect

Account information — when you register, we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed password (or, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile information Google provides).

Usage information — quiz attempts, scores, certificates earned, and content you submit (if you hold a content-contributor or support role).

Support & feedback — any tickets, messages, or feedback you submit through the platform, including the content of those messages.

Technical information — standard technical data such as browser type and general usage patterns, used to keep the platform working correctly and securely.

2. How We Use Your Information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Third-Party Services

TestGenius uses trusted third-party services to operate the platform, including a database and authentication provider (Supabase) for securely storing account and usage data, and Google Sign-In as an optional login method. If you choose to sign in with Google, TestGenius receives only the basic profile information Google shares as part of that sign-in — we do not have access to your Google password or other Google account data.

4. Cookies

TestGenius uses cookies to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences such as light or dark mode. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though doing so may affect your ability to stay logged in.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored using industry-standard security practices, including encrypted connections and access controls that restrict who can view or modify account data. No online platform can guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
